We love meal planning

That thing that most people dread week after week. The mental and emotional exhaustion of trying to decide what to eat; and how to keep everyone happy. The piles of books and the open website pages searching for something new and exciting instead of having the same meals on repeat.

Well, we love it! We love finding and testing new recipes, looking at how we can adapt them so that everyone is happy.  It’s important that they are delicious and also on the table quickly for those busy weeknights.  We also get that not everyone eats the same so we give you as many variations as possible, including vegetarian, low carb and gluten free.

We are all about saving you time, and money. Freeing you up to do the things you love to do. Consider us you personal assistant for a couple of hours a week. Don’t worry about what you are going to have for dinner, don’t even worry about having to write a shopping list. Want extras for lunch so you don’t have to think about that either, easy just select how many more serves you want for each recipe and it will be added to your list.

We are here to help simplify your life and stop the stress about what to make for dinner. Our meal plans are full of good food with seasonal recipes that are affordable and easy to follow.

Welcome to the Dinner Planner

I’m looking forward to being your personal assistant in the kitchen, something we could all use. My assistant of choice would be a cleaner who followed behind me, tidying up my mess (I still haven’t managed to get any of my 3 kids to do this yet).

Cooking is something I have always loved to do, even from a young age. I find it really relaxing. Well, maybe not those mad rush weeknight dinners we often have. But I love making beautiful dinners on the weekends, teaching my children to cook and have even been know to whip up a cake at 10pm when I’m a little stressed. It is one of my happy places.

For as long as I can remember, I have always meal planned. Well, most of the time. It is something I really enjoy. But even for me there has definitely been some times when life has been crazy, I have been time poor and yes, even some weeks when I just couldn’t be bothered. Sound familiar?

When the kids went to school and I went back to work, finding time to meal plan got harder and harder. Sometimes there were just not enough hours in the week, or I didn’t have the headspace. I turned to meal kits and they were fantastic! I loved not having to think for a few meals a week. But they were costing so much more per meal, we didn’t have leftovers and I still had to shop for everything else. The biggest problem they solved was not having to think about what to make for a few nights a week. They also didn’t fit into out budget to have every week. So, I had to make time to meal plan.

I knew I wasn’t alone. From speaking to mums at school and my single work colleagues, the stories were all the same “There’s no time to think, I’m sick of making the same meals every week, I’d love variety but don’t know where to start and I’ve tried meal kits too, but they are just not for us.”

There had to be another way! And now there is. The Dinner Planner.

I now get to spend my days doing what I love. Devouring cookbooks, making a mess in the kitchen recipe testing and creating delicious meal plans. My hope is that you can now spend your days doing what you love and not stress about what’s for dinner.

We are so lucky to have the problem of deciding what to eat for dinner, so many are not so fortunate. Giving back is a huge part of our ethos and we will be working with a variety of companies to support those who are less fortunate.
