Summary
If the city have Mt.Coot-tha, south siders have Mt.Gravatt. Amazing little hill for your weekly dose of elevation.
Not an epic climb you are looking for but we always recommend this for rider who wants to start their climbing journey. Why?
Its less technical, great gradual climb with no double digit pinches which suitable for beginner, and less busy compare to Mt.Coot-tha. Don’t forget about the amazing lookout of Brisbane city at the summit.

The route was made to start from Brisbane city heading towards Mt.Gravatt via the veloway.
You’ll be out on an open road for a bit, if you are riding in the early morning the traffic won’t be as bad (but avoid the peak hours).
The climb it self is about 2km with gradient maxed at 9% which is at the beginning of the climb, the remaining of the climb will be between 4-7% with couple 8% in between. This makes the climb perfect for hill repeat training.
